From Crisis to Care
Towards resilience
The project helps reduce food insecurity and promote better nutritional and hygiene practices in Bamyan Province. It supports people experiencing extremely high levels of vulnerability, insufficient income, and a lack of support — particularly returnees, internally displaced persons, and female-headed households.
107 beneficiary families were selected for support, based on criteria of greatest need (approximately 750 people).
Each family receives:
-
2 food packages, each containing 100 kg of wheat flour, 7 kg of beans, 5 kg of rice, 5 litres of cooking oil and other staple foods, covering the nutritional needs of an average Afghan family (approximately 7 family members) for 2 months.
-
A hygiene kit, including 10 bars of antiseptic soap, 7 packs of laundry detergent, 2 plastic jerry cans, 3 packs of reusable sanitary pads, 3 adult toothbrushes and 4 children’s toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, towels, and other essential items.
-
Awareness sessions on healthy practices that improve dietary and hygiene habits, thereby enhancing the overall health of both adults and children.
