He is an environmentalist, specialising in the energy transition, alternative energy and rural electrification. He has assisted governments in Asia, Africa and Eastern Europe to develop legal frameworks for green solutions. Over the past 30 years, he has worked with the: German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), European Union, German International Development Cooperation (GIZ), German Development Bank (KFW), European Development Bank (EBRD) and Asian Development Bank (ADB).
