Immediate support, whenever it is needed

Our mission is to support marginalized and vulnerable people, defending their rights—even during emergencies of any kind.
Our ability to act promptly depends on supporters like you who, through their donations to FEDA, our Emergency Fund, allow us to have unrestricted resources to use immediately, whenever needed.
FEDA reaches where help is required, stepping in before it is too late: when a mother is forced to sell a daughter to feed her other children, when a sick child risks dying without care, when a family loses their home or their only source of livelihood

Why an Emergency Fund

Because in Afghanistan every day is an emergency.
There are not enough public hospitals to take people in, no stable jobs to survive on, no social safety networks to protect them.
An illness, an accident, or a natural disaster can erase lives in an instant.
FEDA is a hand in the dark: it reaches where help is needed, stepping in before it is too late.
It allows us to never interrupt the support we provide to the most vulnerable people, even in cases of natural disasters or severe health and humanitarian emergencies.
FEDA enables us to be timely and ready for any type of crisis or emergency.

What the Emergency Fund Covers

NOVE carries out concrete projects in various areas of intervention, from education to socio-economic development, with particular attention to women, children, and people with disabilities.
However, it can happen that people facing severe difficulties (economic, health-related, or social) who are not among the beneficiaries of an existing project, need immediate assistance.
FEDA is designed for these people as well, whose lives may depend on NOVE’s intervention.
It exists to step in where projects stop: to respond to unexpected events that overwhelm a life.

With a donation to the Emergency Fund, you give NOVE the freedom to act where and when help is most needed.

Help us save lives where the need is greatest. Make a donation and support FEDA.

Who we have already helped thanks to FEDA

Munisa
Munisa and Deeba
Munisa did not know how to pay the rent or buy food for her children. Desperate, she had fallen into such deep debt that she agreed to marry off her very young daughter Deeba, just to get the money needed to repay the creditors who had begun threatening her. Thanks to FEDA, we were able to settle Munisa’s debt and prevent Deeba from being forced into marriage.

Ayeda
Ayeda is two years old and suffers from a rare and severe genetic liver disease. She lives with her parents in Iran, where adequate treatments are not available, and the risk of forced repatriation to Afghanistan is constant.
Thanks to FEDA and the collaboration with institutions, doctors, and media, we were able to bring Ayeda and her family to Italy, to Palermo, where she will receive urgent and essential treatment to save her life.
