An engineer, Malik is an expert in international cooperation programme management. He worked for more than 20 years for the development and reconstruction of Afghanistan, including 18 years for the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation. Malik has coordinated dozens of agriculture, rural development and women’s empowerment programmes. Arriving in Italy following the Taliban takeover, Malik is currently the Afghanistan Focal Point, providing strategic and operational support to NOVE's activities in the country.
