A kindergarten for the children of working women in difficulty.

Italy Rome. 2012-2013. Direct beneficiaries: 30 (mothers and their children).

The kindergarten, “Nido d’Ape’, run by the Cooperativa L’Accoglienza, was created to receive the children of socially and economically disadvantaged women. It had a dual objective: to offer children a place to play and learn under the guidance of qualified teachers; to give their mothers the opportunity to both work and become independent and to reinforce parenting skills preventing children from being abandoned. NOVE contributed
to the ‘Nod d’Ape’s work, covering 13% of the running costs.
