Greece, Lesvos, Policastro and Idomeni. 2015. Beneficiaries: 9.

During the peak influx into Greece of migrants fleeing war, deprivation and violence of all kinds, NOVE donated a minibus to the 'Mennesker i arbeidan' association - which was assisting migrants on the island of Lesvos.
They were helping to provide transport for the most vulnerable (women with babies, small children, the elderly and the sick) or of basic necessities (food, water, thermal blankets, medical supplies).

NOVE also worked in Policastro and Idomeni to help some of the refugees trapped on the border with Macedonia. Among them was Mohammed, a Syrian wounded in the back by a sniper whose legs
were paralysed. After having endured an arduous journey together with his wife and their three little girls, he was in severe pain and had the beginnings of gangrene.
